Topcon Field Controller Software

Topcon's new TopSURV7 field controller software is packed with new features. Of the many new features, the large graphical user interface (GUI) is one of the best. Activate routines by simply touching the large icons with your finger instead of a stylus.  Instrument configurations can be easily stored so none of your settings are lost.  Specific file formats of raw data, points, lines or surfaces can be easily exported.  Data transfer to your CAD program is easily accomplished by using the full featured utility program, Topcon Link. There are extensive COGO calculations available such as inverse, curves and offset measurement functions. Perform a basic point TOPO or do more advanced Resection and Field Stationing. Collect linework in the field using codes and strings. TopSURV7 also offers the ability to attach a photo note to each stored point which can be viewed in the field or in the office.

With the Pro module you will receive all of the powerful roading functions: input or export horizontal and vertical alignments and X-sections. Roading lets you do slope calculations, cross slope and show cut/fill as you stake with superior graphics and map view.

Carlson SurvCE 2

Carlson's new SurvCE 2.0 combines advanced functionality and ease of use to make it a logical choice for your data collection software. Its features include a Tab-Based Menu Structure with all commands visible in each menu. There are enchanced graphics where you plot points as they are shot in the field. Large colorful icons modernize the user experience. Hot List provides shortcuts to routines. There are optional on board help files. Instrument configurations can be stored allowing the user to easily switch between equipment.

You can use template DXF files to standardize layers and colors. You can auto-load cutsheets and control files from previous jobs. SurvCE has the ability to turn off the auto descriptionsand customize stake out routines. SurvCE allows numerous coding styles that can be defined in the office. You are able to collect parallel lines using the offset horizontal and offset vertical line drawing commands. You can even auto compute and store additional points at vertices created by linework.

SurvCE can compute volumes between surfaces. Surfaces can be defined by graphical entities and points or by TIN files. Digital leveling is supported and level loops can be processed and adjusted on board. Different GPS network protocols are supported such as NTRIP, TCP and UDP. Connection to the internet can be made via Wireless, Cellular or ActiveSync.  SurvCE supports all major manufacturers' conventional and robotic Total Stations and RTK GPS systems.
