Binding Styles
Hardbound: a hardbound book with highvisibility synthetic leather covers. Pages are securely sewn and will not loosen.
Polybound: book with covers of heavy high-density polyethylene for maximum weather protection. Pages are securely sewn and will not loosen.
Cardboard: field book with covers that are of strong binder’s board, a cloth spine and securely sewn pages that will not loosen.
Spiralbound: board covers with spiral wire spine.
Paper Grades
100% Rag: strong, all-cotton, archive grade sheet with hard, smooth, water-resistant, on-yellowing writing surface. Excellent writing take and good erasing quality.
50% Rag: white paper made with 50% cotton fiber for improved strength and moisture resistance. Good writing and erasing characteristics.
Rite-in-the-Rain: specially treated paper which can be written on while the surface is wet. Printed lines will not bleed or run. Ideal for use in tunnel work or other humid working conditions.
